Sales Executive, The Vitality Show and Vitality Boutique

  1. JOB TITLE
    Sales Executive on The Vitality Show and Vitality Boutique
    Reporting to:  Alison Osmani – Sales Manager


  2. JOB PURPOSE
    To work within the Vitality sales team to maximize stand revenue for The Vitality Show, Vitality Boutique, Vitality Website and across VOS media's portfolio as needed.


  3. KEY RESULT AREAS

    The Vitality Show and Vitality Boutique

    To identify and develop new business mostly via the telephone, at times face to face to ensure all exhibition space targets are met

    To work closely with other team members to maximize sales

    To maximize stand revenue whilst ensuring the quality of exhibitors reflects the high standard of the show

    To target and develop new product sectors within a specified section of the show, e.g. the Beauty Section

    To administer the client database, ensuring all entries are clean and up-to-date

    To work on site during the show, man the sales office and refer queries to the relevant person

    To ensure all exhibitor queries are dealt with effectively and efficiently and sales opportunities are maximized

    Administration support for the sales team

    To help other members of the sales team sell their section and support them as required

    Any other ad hoc duties as requested by your manager


  4. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    Excellent sales acumen with a minimum of 2 years media sales experience combined with the ability to retain and create business for the show

    Any other ad hoc duties as requested by your manager

    IT literate –Intermediate: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    Team player, excellent timekeeping, organisation skills, ability to multi-task and prioritise

    Able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure

    Genuine interest in events industry and specifically an interest in products relating to beauty, health and wellbeing

    Able to work flexible hours; be on-site at exhibitions as and when required which may involve overnight stays

    Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels

    Good negotiation skills and the ability to spot or create opportunities


  5. COMMUNICATONS AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

    Regular reporting at meetings to ensure that the team is fully briefed at all times

    Continuous communication with all clients and customers is essential

    Regular progress reporting via various methods to the Sales Manager to ensure that we are on track

    Communicating with colleagues to share information and good practice
