Job Title: Contract Sales Executive – Online and Classified

Department: Snow Sports

Reports to: James Nathan, Group Sales Manager

Date: July 2010

Job Purpose

To work within the sales team to maximise classified revenue for The Daily Mail Ski & Snowboard Magazine and the online provision of Metrosnow.co.uk website and across VOS Media’s portfolio as needed, including other shows, publications and events.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• To identify and develop new business via the telephone and face to face, to ensure all targets are met, both personal and team

• To work closely with other team members to maximize sales

• To maximise revenue whilst ensuring the quality of advertisers reflects the high standard of the products

• To target and develop new product sectors

• To administer the client database, ensuring all entries are clean and up-to-date

• To work on site during the Ski & Snowboard Show

• To ensure all advertiser’s queries are dealt with effectively and efficiently and sales opportunities are maximised

• Administration support for the sales team

• To provide up to date sales reports to line management

• Any other ad hoc duties

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

Knowledge of:

• A good overall standard of education

• A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Sales process in a B2B environment

• An excellent telephone manner is essential

• Good organisational skills

• The ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure

• The flexibility to work unsociable hours during the show. i.e. attending relevant shows
